The firm’s founder, Myrna Guidry has been an attorney for 24 years, concentrating in family law, will-trust and probate law. She has also worked as a mediator for several years, mediating over 500 cases. Ms. Guidry has the legal knowledge, skills, and experience to assist in most family law cases, she is willing to take the matter to a full trial, if necessary. Ms. Guidry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree for Tulane University, 1991 and received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, 1997. She also holds numerous accreditations in mediation services. She is admitted to the Texas Bar, the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas.
Ms. Guidry is a member of the Houston Bar Association. She has been the District IX trustee since she was appointed in December 2020. It is the largest school district in Texas. Ms. Guidry is an Adjunct Professor at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. In addition to her professional work, Guidry devoted time volunteering with civic and charitable organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; Houston Volunteer Lawyers; the star of Hope-Miles Ministry; and Riceville Mount Olive Baptist Church, where she participates on a scholastic council and teaches Sunday school.
Ms. Guidry was featured in The Black Journal of Houston, she is listed as Who’s Who Among Business and Professionals, and named the “10 Best Attorneys” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2017.
