Samuel L. Milledge, Sr. has been practicing law in the State of Texas since 1985. Before practicing law, Mr. Milledge was a music educator in the States of Alabama and Texas. He is admitted to the Texas Bar, Texas Southern District/Bankruptcy Court and US Tax Court. Mr. Milledge focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, bankruptcy, family law, and personal injury and criminal law. He has the  knowledge and experience in various fields of law and is committed to providing personal service. Mr. Milledge has had decisive victories in major criminal cases in Texas achieving acquittals. Charities and civic organizations have placed their trust in him by asking him to serve on their board of directors.

Mr. Milledge received a Master of Music Education from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1980. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Alabama State University in 1977.  While attending Alabama State University, he played in the marching band, concert band, and orchestra. He became of member Phi Mu Alpha Professional Musician Fraternity.  He also became a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  Mr. Milledge was a member of the honor society and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education.

Mr. Milledge  is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA). He has served on several boards as a volunteer. He was a charter board member of the North East Cultural Art Center, a fine arts program that provided experiences in fine arts to inner-city youths in Houston, Texas. He is a past president of Law Focus Education Committee an auxiliary arm of the State Bar of Texas that assists state educators in providing materials and ideas for teaching civics, government and law in the public school systems.

Mr. Milledge holds the coveted “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, Best Lawyers in America, 2020, listed in Best Lawyers, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialist, 1984 and recognized as one of the Top One Percent by The National Association of Distinguished Counsel.

When not practicing law, Mr. Milledge is a professional jazz musician with the Conrad Johnson Orchestra in Houston, Texas. He plays tenor and bass trombone with the group. He has played with the Conrad Johnson Orchestra since 1982. Before coming to Houston and joining the Conrad Johnson Orchestra, he played R&B music and played with several recording artists such as Clarence Carter, Betty Wright, and Joe Simon.
