William A. “Bill” Worthington is a principal at Ewing & Jones, a Houston Texas law firm. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas – 1976, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Texas Eastern, Northern, Western Districts, the Texas Southern District Court/Bankruptcy Court. He is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer with an emphasis in commercial and product-¬related litigation. Mr. Worthington is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Prior to joining Ewing & Jones, Mr. Worthington practiced law at the Houston office of Conner & Winters for 3 years and prior to that he was a partner at Strasburger & Price, LLP in Houston. Focusing his practice on commercial and product related litigation, Mr. Worthington has managed a variety of litigations, including:  the purchase and sale of businesses, phantom equity provisions in executive employment contracts, trademarks and patents, dealer-related litigation, disputes among owners of closely-held businesses, valuations of business enterprises, breaches of warranty, multi-party medical device liability actions, and multi-plaintiff cases alleging fraud in the delivery of health care services, as well as routine breach of contract, general business disputes, and product liability cases.

Mr. Worthington received his JD, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University Law School and his BA, cum laude, from the University of Utah. While in law school, Mr. Worthington was the Executive Editor of the Washington & Lee Law Review.  His professional publications includes “The Citadel Revisited: Strict Tort Liability and the Policy of Law,” 36 S. Tex. L Rev. 227 (1995).

In addition to the Texas Bar Association and other local state and national bar memberships, Mr. Worthington is an active member of the American Law Institute, PLAC f/k/a The Products Liability Advisory Council, and Texas Association of Board Certified Trial and Appellate Specialists.

Mr. Worthington is the father of three daughters and a son.  Each has excelled, and they remain close to him and to each other.  He considers his children to be his proudest achievement.
