Dealing with family issues can sometimes be stressful. The Coolidge Law Group P.A. located in Fort Lauderdale, is led by Attorney Camille A. Coolidge-Shotwell who is an experienced attorney with over 16 years of legal service and in 2005 founded her own law firm, focusing on families, Camille has dedicated her career to helping people in need at the most distressing moments of their lives. Coolidge Law Group, P.A., also handles cases in Real Estate and Corporate Law.
Camille Coolidge-Shotwell, a South Florida native, and the proud daughter of a retired Air Force Captain and Pan American Pilot, Robert B. Coolidge, who taught his daughter to work hard, take pride in what you do and to always treat others with respect. Since his passing, Camille adheres to the lessons taught by her father and strives to be a shining example of his legacy.
Camille’s passion for the law stems from personal experiences, which has motivated her in her bid for Broward County Circuit Court Judge, Group 39. Specifically, Camille has raised her sister’s children, Clayton and Lily, since they were infants. Clayton and Lily are both thriving personally and professionally. Camille is married to Ft. Lauderdale Detective, Mark Shotwell. In July, 2014, Detective Shotwell was shot in the line of duty at McGuire Hill 16 while coming to the aid of a female employee who was assaulted by her boyfriend. After being critically wounded, Det. Shotwell was able to eliminate the ongoing threat of the shooter. After a long recovery, Det. Shotwell, miraculously, was able to resume his career as a Detective with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
Camille is also passionate about giving back to our community, and dedicates much of her time to philanthropic organizations such as Making Strides for Breast Cancer, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower Foundation, MS Society, Good Karma Pet Rescue of South Florida, Special Olympics and Children in Distress. In addition, Camille dedicates her time to the Terri Coolidge Scholarship Fund for children at Parkway Christian School in Davie who have lost a parent in honor of her sister-in-law, who was murdered in 2016.
Through firsthand experience, she understands the emotional toll that the legal process can take on anyone going through a life changing event. Camille endeavors to balance her obligations to zealously advocate for clients by staying true to their ethics and morals. She believes greatly in the legal system and that we as a community must be actively involved to make it work for everyone.
