Mr. Acree has an impressive legal career which started in 1992 when he was a staff attorney for the Public Defender Service. He has represented children in juvenile delinquency cases and handled countless misdemeanor and felony cases. He started to make his way up in the PDS office, serving as PDS Training Director and Deputy Chief of the Trial Division. He then went on to open his own law firm for a while, handling a wide range of civil and criminal matters. Upon his return to the PDS, he has been promoted to Deputy Director, the position which he currently holds.

Mr. Acree attended Howard University and the University of North Carolina School of Law. Before his prestigious law career, he served in the D.C. National Guard and Army National Guard of New Jersey, and was also a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
