Peter T. Rodgers was admitted to practice law in 1977. Peter’s first 20 years in practicing law was focused on trial work. He currently practices in the area of medical malpractice. Peter represents individuals in trials involving personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death and business disputes. His work in medical malpractice has involved cardiac, neurologic, obstetrical, orthopedic, vascular and infectious disease lawsuits including the failure to diagnose cancer, heart disease and infectious disease. Peter has represented patients who are victims of surgical error and emergency room neglect. He also has represented those injured or killed in auto, premises and workplace accidents. Peter has won cases in medical malpractice, reaching successful settlements for his clients. His key to success has been hard work and his concern for what is best for his clients.
Peter graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. and received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Peter is a the Trustee of the monroe County Bar Association, Chair of the Courts Committee, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Past president of the Genesee Valley Trial Lawyers Association, Chair of the Attorney Grievance Committee of the seventh Judicial District by the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, Trustee of McQuaid Jesuit High School and Chair of McQuaid Jesuit High School Board of Trustees.
Peter is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
