Mr. Trinko’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He graduated from the prestigious New York University School of Law in 1974, where he was recognized as a Root-Tilden Scholar, a distinction awarded to students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement and leadership. Additionally, he served as a Research Fellow at the Center for International Studies, further honing his expertise in legal research and international law. Prior to law school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1971, laying a strong foundation for his legal career.
Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Trinko clerked for the Honorable Thomas R. McMillen, a United States District Judge in the Northern District of Illinois, from 1974 to 1975. In 1975, Mr. Trinko was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, as well as the Bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Over the years, he expanded his admissions to include the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Colorado, and the United States Supreme Court. Before establishing his own law practice, Mr. Trinko was a member of Rouhana & Trinko, A Professional Corporation, where he further honed his skills in complex litigation. Prior to that, he was affiliated with the law firm now known as Abbey Gardy, LLP, and served as a litigation associate at two prominent New York City firms: Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and Golenbock and Barell.
