Mr. Kessler’s contributions to the field of mediation extend beyond his casework. He acts as the Convener and Supervisor of a monthly mediation case consultation group in Lake County, Illinois, for experienced mediators. He is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and an approved panelist for their referral list. He played a key role in the formation of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators and the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (now Collaborative Divorce Illinois). He also takes on training roles, educating others on family mediation through the Illinois State Bar Association.
Mr. Kessler’s expertise is recognized and valued. He is a certified mediator for the Probate, Civil, and Family panels of the 19th Judicial Circuit in Lake County, Illinois. He is an approved panel member for the Mediation Council of Illinois Referral Service and the Lake County Bar Association Mediation Program. He has also been involved in mediating Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) claims through the Key Bridge Foundation, as well as agricultural disputes through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) program.
