Richard Hechter is an attorney at Morris Law Group, P.A. He is an accomplished and skilled litigator who has spent the last 30 years helping people with Personal Injury – Medical Malpractice cases. He also assists clients with criminal cases and divorce cases/prenuptial agreements. Richard earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul and his Masters of Business Administration from Augsburg University in Minneapolis. Rich also graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Speech Communications. He studied medicine at Johns Hopkins University, and even is a fellow at the University of Florida Gainesville College of Veterinary Medicine. Rich is admitted to the Minnesota Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota. He is also licensed in the 8th Circuit Court Of Appeals.
Richard is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association. Among other things, Rich defeated the “drop-down” coverage provision in insurance policies by creatively arguing the clause violated Minnesota’s Human Rights Act by discriminating on the basis of familial relationships. In addition, he nearly doubled a Rule 68 offer of judgment in a jury trial verdict. Rich has successfully modified physical custody in many family law disputes, awarding sole physical and legal custody to his client. He has successfully litigated countless medical malpractice cases in Minnesota. Rich is very informal and enjoys building solid relationships with his clients.
