The firm’s founder, Darrick W. Eugene started his law practice Eugene & Associates, PC in 2019. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2004. His law firm helps clients understand and navigate government rules and regulations.
Mr. Eugene has experience with education law, as well as state law and regulations regarding a variety of regulated industries. Mr. Eugene is skilled in legislative drafting and is responsible for state legislation and rules overseeing the practice of geologic storage of carbon dioxide.
Additionally, Mr. Darrick W. Eugene has practiced in the area of public finance since 2004. He has represented issuers and underwriters as counsel in various debt financing projects. The Firm has the capability and experience to serve as Co-Bond Counsel and Underwriters’ Counsel to municipalities, transportation providers, higher education authorities, special districts, airports, and other governmental entities.
Prior to graduating from law school in 2004, Mr. Eugene was an associate with Vinson & Elkins, LLP and a partner with the law firm of Powell & Leon, LLP.
Darrick has a BA in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs and a law degree from UT-Austin. He has served as Bond Counsel and Underwriter’s Counsel.
Mr. Darrick W. Eugene has worked for the State of Texas including the Texas Economic Development Bank, and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, Travis County, and various school districts throughout Texas. He is also the Vice President of the Rotary Club of Austin, Ex-Student’s Association Council at the University of Texas, on the Board of Directors at Austin Community College Center for Public Policy and Political Studies and Advisory Council of the UT Libraries.
Mr. Darrick W. Eugene is married to Dr. Chiquita Eugene. He has three beautiful children Nzingha, Felix and Athena.
