Since 1984, Stephen Niermann has provided legal services in the areas of business organization, finance, business management, juvenile law, elder law and probate. The Niermann Law Firm likes to assist small businesses in developing business plans, contracts, and litigation strategies, integrating his values and vision to help them achieve success. He has counselled small businesses of the acquisition, collection, and disposition of assigned debt. In his early career, Stephen represented children, mothers, and guardians in family matters affecting children, always with an emphasis on the best interests for the child. Stephen has also handled several appeals and has been recognized for his pro-bono work.
Stephen is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, US Supreme Court; US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; US District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and Eastern/Western District of Arkansas, as well as the Muskogee Creek Indian Nation of Oklahoma.
Stephen received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, 1984, his B.S. from Western Illinois University, 1978 and did M.B.A. work at University of Missouri – Columbia. He is a member of the Texas State Bar, Dallas Bar Association, and Gideons International.
Stephen is an author publishing an article called Challenges to Proving Purchased and Assigned Debt Cases in 2011 by the University of Texas School of Law adding periodic updates. He has also spoke at creditor rights seminars: topics on debt – Proving Purchased and Assigned Debt Cases by the University of Texas School of Law, 2011 and Bankruptcy- Bankruptcy Procedures in Texas by the Regional Training Sears HQ Chicago and Bankruptcy Strategies for Creditors, National Bankruptcy Conference, 2009.
Stephen was honored with the Annual Justice Award – North Texas Legal Services Foundation in 1988, and several subsequent pro bono participant awards. Stephen has been married to Rebekah since 1985.
