Christopher B. Johnson, founder of the firm is admitted to practice in all California state courts and the United States District Court, Central District. He has over 20 years’ experience in estate planning, probate, special needs trusts, life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, elder law and probate litigation. He works with modest to ultra high net worth estates, in their generational wealth transfer planning, wealth planning needs, including business succession planning and asset protection.
Chris is counsel to the Skapik Law Group to offer their aggressive trial experience–between them they have obtained multi-million dollar settlements and courtroom verdicts for their clients in trust and will actions, elder abuse, class actions and personal injury.

Prior to establishing his own practice, he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer with U.S. Trust, serving Southern California families with their wealth transfer planning and trust administration. Before U.S. Trust, he was a founding member of the Arroyo Law Group, Russakow | Ryan | Johnson, and his own estate planning and probate practice in Pasadena, as well as a civil litigation lawyer for the Law Office of Errol Berk in Ventura.
Chris is a 1994 graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. He was a Dean’s Scholar, and an extern at the legal department of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., and for the Honorable Barry Russell, Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wheaton College in 1991. He is a member of the Trusts & Estates sections of the Los Angeles County and Pasadena Bar Associations, the City of Hope Music and Entertainment Industry Committee and the board of the Cancer Support Community – Pasadena.
He has appeared on NBC-TV news and radio programs to discuss estate planning and probate issues and is a frequent speaker to attorneys and community groups, and has just been named to MyLawCLE’s advisory board.
