Timur Edib, is the managing attorney at the firm. He has been practicing law since 1998. His focus is in business immigration, helping immigrants assimilate into American culture for over twenty years. Timur along with his legal team, has assist with family based immigration: parents bringing children, children bringing parents, spouses and fiancée bringing their partners, and siblings bringing siblings. We help visitors change their status and extend their status, and in the case of a tourist wanting to change to student we do both a change and an extension of status together in one filing. Our main focus is to help with business immigration, from the EB-5 ($1,000,000.00 investor) to the E1 or E2 (Treaty Trader or Investor), the “O” or the “P” (Outstanding Scientist, Artist, or Performer).” We also do the Employment Based (EB) green card (from extraordinary ability to the research scholar, the advanced degree, the skilled worker, and the religious worker), and finally we help the DV Lottery winners. In addition to immigration, we help our clients with pre-nuptials, divorce, wills, trusts, business formation and acquisition, real estate investments, and home buying.
In addition, Timur also serves as General Counsel to Bay Atlantic University in Washington, DC, and is Managing Broker for Sabrii Realty International, a Real Estate Brokerage in Bethesda, Maryland.
Prior to starting his own immigration firm, Timur worked for the government before becoming a lawyer and was tired of seeing and hearing of the hardships people had dealing with bad lawyers. He became an immigration lawyer to help families come to America to enjoy the American Dream as my grandfather did 100 years ago. Timur help people start their businesses, build their business, run their business. Timur primary focus is helping his clients bring their families from all parts of the world. Helping them buy their homes, and assisting them with their estate planning.
Timur earned his B.S. from Binghamton University in biology, his MPA: Public Policy from Arizona State University, and his J.D. with a Concentration in Business Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Timur served as President of the Environmental Law Society for his three years at law school, and taught Environmental Law as an adjunct college lecturer. Timur interned under Hugh Verrier with White & Case in Ankara, Turkey, and as a student lawyer he served for one year at his law school’s Community Development Clinic to empower downtown Baltimore neighborhoods. Timur recently ran for the Montgomery County Board of Education and has been a leader in the Turkish American community for almost 30 years, serving on national and local Boards.
