Donna H. Clancy founded her law firm in 1994 specializing in personal injury law solely on behalf of plaintiffs after working for small law firms handling various litigation matters, including commercial litigation, criminal, and matrimonial. In 1997, Ms. Clancy expanded her practice to employment law on behalf of plaintiffs. She is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, 1990, the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, 1991, New York State, 1991, the U.S. District Court, Southern District, 1992, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District, 1992.
Prosecuting violations of employee rights has strengthened Ms. Clancy as an advocate to multinational corporations to improve their employment practices for the dual benefit of both employees and employers. Under certain exclusive circumstances, Ms. Clancy will serve as an advisor to companies in need of guidance that demonstrate serious commitment to promoting diversity and equality in the workplace. Such union of purpose and alignment promotes advocacy for human rights while implementing best management practices, thereby improving performance while avoiding the costs and burden of protracted litigation. Ms. Clancy also offers practical training, recommendations and strategies to corporations seeking to better their employment practices and improve the efficacy of their Human Resources as well as the litigation strategies of their General Counsel.
Ms. Clancy received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law, 1990 and B.S. in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business, 1987. She is a member the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the American Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Bar Association, Labor & Employment Law Division.
Ms. Clancy also holds two Board Positions for national organizations promoting women-owned businesses: she is a Member of The Women’s President Organization, WPEO Financial Committee, and is Secretary on the Board of the National Minority Business Council (NMBC).
Utilizing her business and financial background, Ms. Clancy founded her own broker dealer, Clancy Financial Services, Inc. Member FINRA, NASDAQ, SIPC, (CFS) in 2005. CFS provides financial services to large institutions. As Sole Shareholder, Ms. Clancy is CFS’s General Counsel and handles all aspects of the Firm’s legal, FINRA regulatory and other securities related matters. Ms. Clancy also serves as General Counsel for Dermott W. Clancy, Corp., a NYSE Member broker dealer operating on the Floor of NYSE.
