Mark Nestor, owner and founder of the firm, has been practicing law for more than 44 years. He was admitted to practice in Massachusetts in 1977. Mr. Nestor served in the United States Army and Army Reserve for more than 26 years. His military service included service in Vietnam during the period 1969-1970 as a helicopter pilot. He received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and law degree from Boston University. He has been an active member of the Gloucester community as a Commander of the American Legion Post No. 3, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 74, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1624, AMVETS Post 32, United Veterans Council of Gloucester, Gloucester Fish Box Derby, Inc. Magnolia Library, Inc. and Magnolia Historical Society, Inc. Mr. Nestor has provided Pro Bono legal services to a number of civic, veterans and community organizations in Gloucester throughout his career.
Among his awards, from Vietnam Mr. Nestor was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star and Air Medal with 20 clusters. He is also the recipient of the 2016 Gloucester Small Business Person of the Year, Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce; the 2019 Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Foundation, and the 2019 Myra L. Herrick Outstanding Older American Award from Senior Care, Inc.
