Duncan S. Bremer, P.C., Attorney at Law, concentrates in business transactions and real estate law, specifically in land development and use, and also estate planning and asset protection planning. Mr. Bremer started his firm in 1996. He has been admitted to the practice law in Colorado since 1982. He counsels owners and executives to accomplish both business and private objectives through business structure and transactions. He possesses significant experience and capabilities dealing with real estate in Colorado, including real estate transactions, real estate development, business organizations, personal and business tax planning, contracting, government regulation, infrastructure, water, land use, transportation planning, and the Endangered Species Act. In the estate planning arena, Mr. Bremer helps clients with simple or complex issues, including wills, living wills, and medical and financial powers of attorney, sophisticated tax-oriented trusts, asset protection plans, family limited liability entities and charitable giving plans.

Mr. Bremer came to Colorado in 1981 to take a job with a local law firm. Following a decade of successful legal practice in Colorado Springs, he served as County Commissioner full time for eight years. During that time, he was a statewide and national leader in human services and child welfare. He served on the State Board of Human Services and the State Workforce Development Council, as Chairman of the Human Services Steering Committee of Colorado Counties, Inc. and Chair of the Task Force on Welfare Reform Reauthorization of the National Association of Counties.

Meanwhile, he continued his legal practice and has built up a strong practice assisting his clients with real estate, planning, business and estate planning. Clients have ranged from individuals and businesses to El Paso County and the State of Colorado. He has earned a reputation for his ability to bring together parties with competing interests to reach a workable solution.

Mr. Bremer has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Yale University and a JD from the University of Connecticut (with honors), where he was the Law Review Associate Editor. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, El Paso County Bar Association, and Colorado Republican Central Committee. His  civic associations include Founder and Board Member of Wings Like Eagles (non-profit Christian volunteer ministry to youth and children with special needs) and Elder, NorthWord Church.

Mr. Bremer holds the coveted BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He was awarded  the Distinguished Service Award by Colorado Counties, Inc. in 2001, was recognized as an Outstanding Citizen by Start-A-Trend-UP in 1990 and received the Lifetime Service Award from the Colorado Republican Party in 2021.
