Among her range of cases, Rachel Y. Notably, she has successfully lobbied and orchestrated a forty-year tax abatement for the renovation and construction of an affordable housing apartment complex.

Rachel Y. Marshall is passionate about continuing to educate the community about legal rights and opportunities for growth including affordable housing and home ownership. She has worked in Essex and Monmouth County with affordable housing developers and buyers.

Rachel Y. Marshall received her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Administration of Justice from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

Rachel Y. Marshall is admitted to both New Jersey and New York Bars, the District Court of NJ, US Court of Appeals 3rd Circuit, Legal Facilitator for the National Action Network NJ, member of New Jersey Bar Association, the New York Law School-Alumni Network, Rutgers Alumni Association, former Director of Community Relations for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, Former Commissioner for City of Newark’s Board of Adjustments. Rachel is an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Union County College, Division of Social Sciences, Business and History.

As an experienced professional and educator, she enjoys mentoring young women in business and law. In addition to her professional work as an attorney, she is enthusiastic about community outreach, education, mentorship and her faith.
