He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry in 1965 from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Westmoreland County Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association.

Mr. Irwin has a daughter, Doreen J. Irwin, who is also an attorney.
