Braverman Greenspun is a law firm located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The firm was in established in 1968. Five decades later, attorneys Robert J. Braverman and partner Scott Greenspun have maintained the basic principles on which the firm was founded—hardworking, innovative and compassionate counsel who provide the firm’s clients with an unparalleled level of service and commitment as an industry leader in the field of condominium and cooperative law. Braverman Greenspun’s  longstanding success reflects a commitment to client satisfaction. Every attorney and staff member at the firm is dedicated to exceeding their clients’ expectations and raising the bar on what you can, and should, expect from your law firm.

Robert J. Braverman joined the firm Braverman Greenspun in 1993. He is admitted to the New York Bar, 1992 and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.

His father Ed Braverman founded Braverman Greenspun – then known as Edward T. Braverman, P.C. – in 1968 as one of the first law firms in New York dedicated to providing legal services to cooperatives, condominiums, shareholders and unit owners. Robert is proud to have continued and further build upon his legacy.

The firm is general counsel to over two hundred cooperatives and condominiums in the New York metropolitan area.

There is unlikely to be an issue that Robert has not encountered. In fact, he views his in-depth knowledge of co-op and condominium law as just one of the things he bring to the table. Equally important, is his understanding of how best to practically approach the legal issues faced by co-ops and condominiums. He understand that while the legal issues are important, so too are the practical “real life” ramifications of a Board’s decisions. It is for this reason that the advice he gives to his clients not only takes into account their legal rights and obligations, but also the fact that people’s homes, communities and personal relationships are likely to be affected by the guidance he provides.  There is nothing more rewarding to Robert on a professional level than working with a client to attain a successful, cost effective outcome to a legal matter, no matter how big or small.

Robert received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, 1991, where he was a member of the Real Property Law Journal, he received his B.A. with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. He is a member of the Association of the Bar, City of New York, Committee on Cooperative and Condominium Law, and the New York Bar Association, Real Property Law Section.

He also serves as an honorary member of the Board of Directors of STRIDE Adaptive Sports, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides over 8,000 adaptive sport and recreation lessons each year to individuals with disabilities, focusing on youth and Wounded Warriors. STRIDE utilizes over 300 volunteer sport instructors; serves over 1,500 families; and offers programs in more than 17 different sports over 25 regional locations in the Northeastern US. Rob first got involved with STRIDE as a volunteer adaptive ski instructor teaching disabled children and veterans how to ski.

Robert is regularly called upon to lecture and author articles on condominium and cooperative-related issues and are also regularly quoted in both the industry and mainstream press.
