He has performed as a Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Counsel to various major Wall Street firms, including Credit Suisse First Boston and Yamaichi International, specializing in securities law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and contract negotiation. His career also includes a ten-year stint as an investment banker and portfolio manager originating over a half a billion dollars in structured financing transactions for public and private companies at major financial institutions, including Mees Pierson, Fortis and The Bank of New York, consistently generating +30% year over year annual returns. With the event of the mortgage crisis in 2009, Ray founded his own law practice to guide families and businesses through the economic recovery as a foreclosure defense lawyer, general counsel and business advisor to technology companies, accounting firms and family offices.
Ray began his career as a computer programmer/analyst elevating to Assistant Vice President and Unit Manager at The First Boston Corporation while attending College and Law School. He received a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) degree from Fordham University and a Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School. He has been admitted to practice law in New York since 1986.
After working on Wall Street for over twenty-five years, Attorney Raymond Lang founded his law firm in the midst of an economic downfall after the mortgage financial crisis. Mr. Lang also founded Economic Recovery Advisors LLC, to advise governmental agencies and business enterprises to meet the challenges faced in the economic crisis. Through these firms, he advised on foreclosure legislation at the national and state levels and advocated through the courts for people who were losing their homes.
