Stacy Ly is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas since 2011. She practices predominantly family law in Harris county, Fort Bend County, Montgomery County, Brazoria County, Galveston County, and Wharton County. Stacy Ly has dedicated her life in representing her clients zealously and aggressively to achieve the positive outcomes that each client deserves. In addition to her legal knowledge, she and her legal team possesses the time, patience, and temperament necessary to guide you through the most stressful disputes prominent in cases such as: divorce, child custody, termination of paternity, modification of prior orders, and petition for grandparents right in family court.
Stacy Ly practices only in the area of family law and is familiar with the court’s procedures and Judges in the counties that she practices in. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Chinese. Prior to starting her own firm in 2015, Stacy Ly clerked for the Honorable Judge Tim Taft for the Court of Appeals in First District of Texas, worked as a law clerk and became Managing Attorney for a high volume Firm who specialized in Family law and Bankruptcy. She was also partner for Kimly Law Firm managing the Family Law Division.
Stacy Ly received her Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law, 2010 and Bachelor in Management, Bachelor in Spanish and Minor in Mandarin Chinese from the University of Houston. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association and Asian America Bar Association.
Stacey Ly’s parents were first generation immigrants who came to United States from Vietnam. She says, “When they arrived to USA in 1979, they did not speak the English language, they did not have any degrees, and they did not have much to give to us. My dad worked 2 jobs while my mother taught us Chinese, mathematics, and self independence.”
Even though Stacy grew up with immigrant parents, They made sure to teach her “to work hard and be good at what she does.” She says, “I built my law firm up from hard work and dedication to clients … these are values passed down to me from my parents. I apply these core values to every case I take on. I work hard for each and every client. Thus, my sole focus is on family law related cases. I don’t practice in any other areas of law.”
