Tommy G. Smith, was a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney. He practiced law at a highly respected firm that was established in the 1950’s for nine years. He became a partner in 2015, and he established Smith Law, PLLC in 2019. Mr. Smith is licensed to practice before all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for Northern Florida, and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, DC. He assisted clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, and qualification for VA and Medicaid benefits for long term care planning. Mr. Smith was dedicated to helping families secure a Plan for Life. He worked with families to identify the right long-term care plan and develop a comprehensive plan to address their legal needs, integrating their values and vision to help them achieve your goals.
Mr. Smith received his B.S., With High Honors from North Carolina State University,1973, MBA from the University of West Florida and earned his J.D., Magna Cum Laude from Liberty University School of Law. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, Lawyers With Purpose, the National Care Planning Council and Elder Counsel. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Smith was the business administrator for a local church after a long career in industry in various management and technical capacities. As a certified quality engineer, he received a corporate Circle of Excellence Award for leading ISO 9001 certification efforts. Mr. Smith and his wife, Debbie, have been active in church for many years. They are members of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and they have one son, Zack, who is also an attorney.
