Top Attorney – J. Richard Greenstein
Blue Bell, PA WW/Press/November 13, 2020 – J. Richard Greenstein, Esq. with Flamm Walton Heimbach was selected into the Top Attorneys of North America 2020-2021 edition by The Who’s Who Directories.
He is Admitted to the U.S. Tax Court and has argued matters successfully before said tribunal. He has also advised clients of the tax consequences of numerous transactions and was in the forefront of the movement to incorporate Professional Practices and to use deferred compensation plans to build wealth for the professionals. He also has negotiated tax issues with the IRS and has successfully filed Offers in Compromise.
He counsels clients on the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, including financing (bank & IDA loans), Operating Agreements and Shareholder Agreements. He also advises businesses concerning transactions, sale and liquidation.
In his estate practice, Mr. Greenstein prepares estate plans (Wills, Trusts) and Powers of Attorney and advises clients concerning intergenerational transactions. He also administers both estates and trusts. He has extensive experience representing clients in Orphans’ Court.
Mr. Greenstein has assisted employers with pension plans, profit sharing plans, IRAs and health plans.
He has represented both buyers and sellers in real estate acquisitions, financing, leasing and sale.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Greenstein was Of Counsel at Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell & Hippel in the Business Department. Previously, he was a partner with Hepburn Willcox Hamilton & Putnam in Philadelphia. He was also a tax partner with Greenstein, Gorelick, Silverman & Price.
Mr. Greenstein received his LL.M in Taxation from New York University, 1971, LL.B from the University of Pennsylvania, 1966 and BA from the Cornell University, 1963. He is a member Pennsylvania Bar Association, Montgomery Bar Association, Member of Board of Trustees of Strickler Memorial Fund, Member of Board of the Samuel and Sara G. Feinman Fund, and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. He is also Councilman for the West Conshohocken Borough and Former Member of Haverford Township School District School Board.
Mr. Greenstein received the Chapel of Four Chaplains award for service as President of Quaker City Lodge of B’nai Brith.
