The firm’s founder Michael P. Berkley, Esq., has been practicing law since 1990. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of: New York , New Jersey and Florida and is admitted practice in numerous Federal Courts  including all of the NY District Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd and 9th Circuits.  Mr. Berkley began his construction law career 30 years ago, representing contractors who were renovating restaurants and small commercial buildings. His area of concentration is now on larger scale construction law projects and large scale real estate dispute litigation. He drafts and review construction contracts, advising on permitting and construction regulatory matters and handling construction law disputes (including alleged defects, code violations and neighbor disputes). Attorney Berkley understands the importance of accessibility and open communication; and respond to inquiries effectively and efficiently and keeps clients informed at every stage of their case, from the beginning through to resolution.  Mr. Berkley was an intern at the NYS Attorney General’s office in Binghamton, NY Consumer Frauds Bureau and the US Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Berkley received his J.D. from Pace University Law School, 1990 and B.A. at Binghamton University, 1987. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Construction Law Committee and Bergen County Bar Association and an Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Berkley was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation Award from The NY Lawyer’s Fund For Client Protection.

Mr. Berkley lives with his wife and 2 daughters in NY.
