Maxwell Glass is the Principal of The Glass Law Group. He founded this firm with a philosophy of providing zealous client advocacy. Maxwell has devoted his entire legal practice to the representation of individuals charged with violating the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, as well as local vehicle and traffic laws. He practices in the areas of criminal defense, with a specific emphasis on driving while intoxicated (DWI) matters, and other vehicle and traffic law violations. From the moment you contact Maxwell, you will be provided with personal compassionate service, your best interests is his only priority from the moment representation begins, until a final resolution that is satisfactory to the client, is reached.

Prior to opening The Glass Law Group, Maxwell was an associate at a personal injury practice, where he regularly represented his injured clients in both simple and complex personal injury cases that arose from motor vehicle accidents and premise liability cases. While working in this environment, Maxwell became intimately familiar with the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, and all of its penalties and consequences. Maxwell also worked for a law firm that represented the nation’s top insurance carriers that specialized in prosecuting fraudulent insurance claims.

Maxwell earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, graduating cum laude, and his law degree from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law. While in law school, Maxwell participated in a clinical program, where he prosecuted misdemeanor offenses, including violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New York Defenders Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, as well as local bar associations on Long Island. Maxwell is constantly focused on the ever-evolving laws that affect his clients and is always working to innovate new strategies that better serve them.

Maxwell is a native of Long Island, and proudly resides there today. He spent 4 years as a volunteer firefighter in his community.
