Principal Attorney and Arbitrator, LaVerne Boyd specializes in Probate and Personal Injury as well as arbitration services as a Labor Arbitrator for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation service. She was admitted to practice law in 1980. She has a certification as a Federal Mediation Conciliation Service Arbitrator. Prior to starting her own legal practice, Ms. Boyd was Senior Counsel and General Counsel for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Assistant General Counsel for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. In addition, Ms. Boyd was an English Teacher for the East Cleveland Board of Education, teaching English and Literature to students in grades 9-12th grade. Ms. Boyd received her Doctor of Law (J.D.) Labor Law from Cleveland Marshall, 1979 and Bachelors degree in English Language and Literature from Ohio State University, 1971. She is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association and National Bar Association. Active in the community, Ms. Boyd is Chair of  the Labor Committee for the Cleveland Bar Association; served as a National President for a non profit agency and was Chair of Personnel for the organization the Eliza Bryant Village.
