James E. Peckert partner at Kehart, Peckert, Wise & Lewis, has practiced law for more than 30 years.  Attorney Peckert was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois on November 6, 1986. His practice focuses on litigation (commercial litigation, labor and employment, and insurance defense). He also prepares wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients, and assists executors, administrators, and trustees with the administration of probate estates and trusts. Aside from litigation, Mr. Peckert represents financial institutions in a wide variety of matters. Upon commencement of employment as an attorney with the law firm, Mr. Peckert began providing legal services on behalf of the financial institution and in which he has provided representation through the present date.

Mr. Peckert received his undergraduate education in the Fall of 1980 and graduated in 1983 (from beginning to concluding in three years) at Millikin University (located in Decatur, Illinois), in which he obtained a Bachelor of Science  – Accounting Degree. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Mr. Peckert lives in Forsyth with his wife, Kim.
