Founding attorney Frank J. Materia established his law firm with the goal of serving the hardworking people in New Jersey. Frank J. Materia started his law firm so he can help the people in his community. After graduating from college and passing the bar, he knew his calling was for the sole purpose of serving society and hard working people. Mr. Materia is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court District of New Jersey in 2014. His areas of practice are business law, estate planning and real estate. With passion and great enthusiasm, he takes pride in assisting clients in their legal matters, while holding true to his values and legal ethics. He will keep you involved and educated about your options and will provide high-quality assistance, helping you reach your legal goal.
Once admitted to the bar, Mr. Materia worked as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Nesle A. Rodriguez, J.S.C., in New Jersey Superior Court, Family Part in Jersey City. As a Judicial Intern, he reviewed various motions; discerned complex legal issues; drafted written analysis on various divorce matters. He observed the many responsibilities and functions in Judge’s Chambers. And most important, he observed courtroom proceedings on a daily basis. He was also a Law Clerk in a boutique litigation firm in Newark, New Jersey–where he worked on various legal practice areas such as: Family Law cases, Federal and State Criminal Law cases, and Personal Injury cases.
Mr. Materia was born and raised in a “blue-collar” family–where he learned the values of: Hard-Work, Discipline, Determination and Relentlessness. Years ago his family immigrated to the United States from Italy; and they taught him the principle that “nothing is given and all must be earned.” Today, that mantra still lives within Mr. Materia. As an Attorney he values the importance of the law and attorneys who have made a positive impact on our society.
Mr. Materia graduated from of Quinnipiac University School of Law, with honors, received his B.A. majoring in History with Honors: Dean’s List. In law school he worked in the Quinnipiac University School of Law Tax Clinic where, as a student attorney, he represented and counseled economically disadvantaged clients in resolving their Federal and State tax matters. After the fall semester, he was promoted to the Advanced Tax Clinic where he continued his clinical work.
Mr. Materia is a member of the American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, the New Jersey State Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, Family Law Section, and Criminal Law Section, the Civil Trial Bar Section, Solo and Small Firm Section, 2014 to Present.
