Outside of his legal practice, Mr. McKearin has served on various boards including Parks and Recreation Commission in Richardson from 1994-1995, City of Richardson Civil Service Board from 2004-2007, and the Methodist Richardson Medical Foundation Board from 2014-2016. He has been an active member of Richardson East Rotary since 1997 and has held leadership positions within the organization.
George S. McKearin is married to Dorthy Ann McKearin and they have two sons, Joshua Holmes McKearin and Tobin Kowles McKearin, as well as a daughter named Candice Ann Thornton.
