Jim L. Culpepper & Associates, P.C. was founded in 1971, and served clients in the greater Houston, TX, area. The law firm represented clients who have suffered loss and/or damages as a result of mesothelioma, asbestosis, defective products, legal malpractice cases, and other claims of negligence and wrongful conduct. They also handled business litigation, including fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. Also, they represent parties in real estate litigation and probate matters. At Jim L. Jim L. Culpepper founder of the law firm, was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of Texas, and all Texas State Courts. He was also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, Personal Injury Law, and Commercial Real Estate Law, by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Culpepper was fluent in Spanish, and able to provide all phases of legal services and other communications in Spanish to the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients.

Mr. Culpepper represented plaintiffs to recover from injuries and losses sustained as a result of the negligence or fraud of others, claims based upon defective products, and other claims providing remedies for injured and damaged clients. As your Attorney, Mr. Culpepper provided his clients the full benefit of his knowledge, ability and effort to handle your case. A native of Houston, Texas, Mr. Culpepper received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1967 from the University of Houston, and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1971. He was a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, continuously, since 1983. Since 1986, he was a member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar, providing legal services without charge to the those who are unable to pay. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation.

Mr. Culpepper and his beloved wife of 33 years Lana, who passed away, and their family were and is still involved in working with the Spanish-speaking congregations of the churches of Christ in Texas, Mexico, and Central and South America.

Mr. Culpepper was a member of the Spring Branch Church of Christ. He preached, teached, and worked with both the English speaking and with the Spanish speaking. He was regularly invited by other churches to teach and preach in English and Spanish.

Mr. Culpepper has been involved in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Building Fund for The Houston Christian Institute, a school for inner-city young people operated by the Fifth Ward Church of Christ.
