Mr. Bischof is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and the Western and Northern Districts of the U.S. Federal Court. A 1986 graduate of Canisius College, Mr. Bischof received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1989, where he was Associate Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. He is active in his state and local bar associations. Mr. Bischof is the Chairman of the Negligence Committee for the Bar Association of Erie County, and serves on the Law Practice Management Committee for the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Bischof was appointed to the Supreme Court (Civil) Advisory Committee on E-Filing which advises New York’s Chief Administrative Judge on E-Filing in civil courts of superior jurisdiction. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Bar Association of Erie County in June 2007, served as Treasurer 2008-2009 and as Deputy Treasurer 2007-2008. Mr. Bischof is a member the Solo and Small Firm Practice Committee, and the Committee for Veterans’ and Service Members’ Legal Issues.
Mr. Bischof received a Special Service Award from the Bar Association of Erie County in 2006. The Special Service Award was given in recognition of Mr. Bischof’s dedicated efforts in creating and chairing the Bar Association’s annual admissions program to the United States Supreme Court. For 26 years, he has helped attorneys become admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. The Bar Association of Erie County presents special service awards to persons who have contributed to the welfare of the Bar Association and its members in an exceptional manner. Mr. Bischof was also selected to Super Lawyers from 2009 -2019.
