Veronica I. Legarreta is the founder of the Legarreta Law Firm, PLLC. She is an experienced trial attorney who has dedicate herself to the law and her clients. Her practice focuses on criminal matters ranging from DWIs to Murder charges.Veronica is a strong courtroom advocate and approaches each case with preparation and with great attention to detail. Veronica received her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. It was there that she participated in mock trial competitions and realized she loved being in the courtroom. After law school, Veronica began her legal career as a prosecutor at the District Attorney’s office, where she quickly built a reputation for being a tough and relentless trial attorney. In 2011, she decided to start her own law firm with fellow attorney Amy Owen and thus Legarreta & Owen, PLLC, was born. Together they specialize in Criminal and Family Law. Veronica is also federally licensed in the Western District of Texas. She is a Chapter President of the Texas Exes- San Antonio Chapter and the Junior League.

Veronica has been honored by her peers by being recognized as one San Antonio’s Top Criminal Defense Attorneys for 2016 and 2017. In 2017 she was also voted one of San Antonio’s top DWI attorneys and is honored to have received the Latino American Who’s Who award, The Top DWI/DUI Defense Attorney San Antonio Scene Magazine 2018.

Veronica continues to actively participate as a public speaker on several legal topics.
