Steven B. Tannenbaum is the senior partner in Tannenbaum, Bellantone & Silver P.C., he has over 40 years of experience in representing seriously injured people. He was admitted to practice law in New York in 1979. Mr. Tannenbaum was also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and in all courts in the State of New York. His areas of concentration are the litigation of complex medical malpractice, dental malpractice, personal injury, product liability, labor law, vaccine injury and toxic mold actions on behalf of plaintiffs and/or defendants. Additionally, he serves as a mediator and as an arbitrator for NAM in his areas of expertise.
Steve graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. and received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1978. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and National Vice Chairman of Parent Heart Watch.
Steve is a grateful survivor of a sudden cardiac arrest and is an American Heart Association certified CPR/AED instructor, having trained several thousand people, and as an attorney, he has spoken and written nationally about CPR/AED usage and protection from liability afforded by state and national Good Samaritan Laws, as well as pending legislation concerning CPR and AEDs.
He is the 2010 recipient of the American Heart Association’s Louis J. Acompora Memorial Heart Saver Award, the 2011 recipient of the American Heart Association Special Recognition Community Outreach Award, the 2012 recipient of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association’s Chairman’s Award, the 2013 recipient of the Dominic A. Murray 21, the Memorial Foundation’s Save a Child Award, the 2015 American Heart Association HeartSaver Award and the 2016 Parent Heart Watch Founder’s Award.
Steve and his wife Sandy are the very proud parents of two daughters and a son.
