John J. Hogan, a founding member of the Firm, focuses his practice on criminal defense and DWI, as well as all facets of real estate, land use, land development, residential and commercial sales, commercial and personal injury litigation.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Hogan worked for the New York State Attorney General’s Office from 1978 to 1987. He was an Assistant District Attorney with the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office from 1988 to 2012. During his 24 years as an Assistant District Attorney, he prosecuted crimes in every criminal court in Putnam County.
Mr. Hogan has also served as counsel to several local towns handling various planning, zoning and Town Board matters. He also served as special prosecutor of violations of Town Code provisions in local Justice Court.
Mr. Hogan graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science, 1977, and received his J.D. from the University of Bridgeport School of Law, 1987. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
