Michael J. Grace is the founding partner of the litigation firm of Grace & Grace Attorneys at Law located in Yorktown Heights, New York. He has provided legal services to the Town of Yorktown for over 30 years. His areas of concentration include personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate transaction and land use and development. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and New Jersey. Mr. Grace was elected Yorktown Town Supervisor in 2011. At times, Mr. Grace served as the Town’s only legal counsel serving the Town Board, the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals. Throughout, Mr. Grace was the town’s litigation attorney and provided the town with a defense on such matters as the Hudson Riverkeeper v. Town of Yorktown a Federal Clean Water Act law suit.
Mr. Grace is an experienced environmental and land use attorney, having argued several seminal cases in this field of law before the New York State Court of Appeals. Mr. Grace is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum for having achieved multi-million dollar results, (verdicts and settlements) for his private clients in such diverse matters as negligent highway construction cases, construction accident cases and complex medical malpractice causes of action.
Mr. Grace is a Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude graduate of Fordham University and received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar, Westchester Bar, Board Member of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum. Mr. Grace is also a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, a former basketball and baseball coach for the Shrub Oak Athletic Club, a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
