Top Attorney – Roger J. Leifer

Roger Leifer graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in Economics, attended the London School of Economics and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar, the New York Bar, the Supreme Court Bar, and serves on the Boards of the Westport County Playhouse, Westport’s Levitt Pavilion and the Westport Downtown Merchants Association. In addition, he served on the Building Committees for the new Westport Country Playhouse, the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, the Conservative Synagogue of Westport, and the Compo Beach Playground.

Roger served as a United States antitrust prosecutor with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington D.C. in the 1970’s. Since then Roger has practiced real estate law in Fairfield County Connecticut and has negotiated and closed many thousands of real estate transactions, including a substantial number of the most expensive and complicated residential purchase and sales in Fairfield County.

He was Chairman of the Westport Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee which drafted and enacted the first standardized Real Estate Sales Contract for Fairfield County residential real estate transactions. This contract has been adopted and modified and is used in virtually all residential transactions in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Roger Leifer is also a principal of Leifer Properties, a full-service property development and management company based in Westport Connecticut. Leifer Properties has been owning, developing, renovating, and leasing commercial office and retail space in Westport, Connecticut since 1978.  They specialize in small office suites, single offices in executive suites, medical offices and small retail spaces As such, Roger Leifer has first-hand experience as an owner, purchaser and seller of real estate., a unique perspective for a real estate attorney. Leifer Properties has been awarded the Westport Beautification Committee’s Award multiple times for its projects.
