To her credit, Sheila won a case of first impression in the US District Court of Maryland in the case of Korotki vs Attorney Services Corp which is a landmark case that has withstood challenge for over two decades. And recently, Sheila won a foreclosure case on behalf of a debtor whose remaining balance under his mortgage was voided under the statute of limitations.
For over 15 years, Sheila has actively served as a leader in her professional associations: Former Vice Chair in the ABA’s Fidelity and Surety Committee, Former Co-Chair Government Law Committee and Member of the Diversity Taskforce of the ABA’s Tort and Insurance Practice Section. Locally, Sheila served a member of the Board of the Real Property Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. She is a former Board Member of the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is serving as Chair of Maryland’s Sister State Committee for Liberia and a Member of the Board of the Lyceum Foundation.
