Ms. Reed is an experienced civil litigator admitted to practice law in all Courts of the State of California.  She has a successful track record of obtaining workable solutions and restoring peace of mind to persons facing real estate disputes including wrongful foreclosure and breach of contract, as well as unfair debt collection practices, and a variety of other legal matters.  She also has a longstanding passion for religious freedom and consults in this area pro bono.

Prior to enrolling in law school in 1999, Ms. Reed was a civil litigation paralegal with over 25 years experience in large and small law firms. Her legal experience and natural abilities helped her successfully complete law school in 2003, as a single mother working full time, graduating Magna Cum Laude and 2nd in her class.

During law school, Ms. Reed was a member of law review where she wrote an article on clergy malpractice, placed in the top 5 in two moot court competitions, and obtained various honors as noted below. Thereafter, Ms. Reed took the California State Bar Exam, passed on her first attempt, and within a month of being sworn in, opened Lorden & Reed in honor of her father, William Arthur Lorden III (1930-2000) who was a brilliant and colorful criminal defense attorney who practiced primarily in Los Angeles County. He was beloved by many clients, attorneys and judges.    While he rests in peace, Ms. Zshonette Lorden Reed, carries on his fight to protect and defend the individual, but in civil, not criminal, legal matters. At the law firm, Ms. Reed is supported by her son and paralegal, Austin Alexander Reed.

Ms. Reed graduated from the University of LaVerne/San Fernando Valley College of Law with a Juris Doctorate: June 2003, Magna Cum Laude – Class Rank: 2nd, Dean’s List: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, Founder of San Fernando Valley Chapter of NBLSA; Chapter President 2000, 2001, 2002, San Fernando Valley Law Review: Senior Staff Writer, published articles: — Clergy Malpractice: Defining the Duty, Dismissing the Claim— Recent Case: U.S. v. Hodge, 259 F.3d 549 (6th Cir. 2001). Ms. Reed has received numerous honors, awards and scholarships.

In addition to being a successful attorney, Ms. Reed is an author, a mother of two young adults and resides in Chatsworth, California.
