Lee Sobieski, Partner at Berger Berger & Sobieski, has nearly nine years of experience at the firm and has been practicing immigration law since 2012. Admitted to the New York Bar, his area of focus is immigration law. He serves clients in securing their green cards, whether through employment, family, or marriage.
Mr. Sobieski also assists clients in obtaining H Visas for work and regularly appears in Buffalo and Batavia, New York, Immigration Courts to aid clients in removal proceedings. With his expertise in drafting motions and court briefs and conducting legal research, Mr. Sobieski is a valuable resource for clients navigating the complex legal system.
Since June 2016, Mr. Lee M. Sobieski has volunteered as an attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers Project, assisting tenants facing eviction cases in Buffalo City Court. He has also shared his expertise in Immigration Law through presentations at esteemed institutions such as Buffalo State University, Alfred University, and the Saturn Club, as well as being an esteemed presenter at the 2021 Upstate New York AILA Chapter Fall Conference.
In his legal career, Mr. Lee M. Sobieski has served as a Volunteer Evaluator for the National Trial Competition’s first round in February 2011 at Buffalo City Court. He is a respected member of the New York State Bar Association, Erie County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Mr. Sobieski graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts (BA), in Social Sciences (With a Concentration in Legal Studies), in 2007. He then received his Doctorate of Law (JD), in 2010 from the University at Buffalo Law School.
Mr. Sobieski has previously appeared in Top Attorneys of North America, and has therefore now received recognition from us on more than one occasion.
Mr. Sobieski has lived in the Buffalo area nearly all his life, and is proud to call this area home. He is married to his wonderful wife Christina since May of 2018, and he is the youngest of two siblings.
