Jeanne founded Longsworth Law LLC in 2007, she is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, 1987, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana, 1987, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana, 1987. Prior to opening her own firm, Jeanne was a partner and practiced for more than 20 years at one of Indiana’s largest law firms. Jeanne concentrates her practice in the areas of wealth transfer and preservation, estate planning, business succession planning, and estate, probate and trust administration. She counsels business owners, corporate executives, physicians, and other individuals and families about formulating and achieving their objectives through estate planning and business succession planning. Jeanne appreciates that each client’s circumstances and objectives are unique and tailors a plan particularly suited to fulfilling the client’s desired objectives. During her 30+ years practicing law, she feels she has been blessed to be able to work with generations of clients from the same family including some great-grandchildren of former clients.
Ms. Longsworth graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Accounting, 1984, and received her JD from Valparaiso University School of Law, 1987. She was the Executive Editor (Vol. 21) of the Valparaiso University Law Review. She is a member of the Allen County Bar Association (Chair, Probate Trust & Tax Section, 1993–1994; Vice Chair, Probate Trust & Tax Section, 1992–1993), the Indiana State Bar Association (District 4 Representative, Real Property, Probate & Trust Section, 1996–1998), the American Bar Association, and the Indiana CPA Society.
Ms. Longsworth is a published author, she is active in the community and is a part of several civic memberships and participates in seminars helping those with their estate planning.
