Walter J. Zukowski founder of the Zukowski Law Offices, is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, and before the United States District Court for the 7th Circuit.During the course of his career, Mr. Zukowski has litigated cases in state and federal courts. He has represented management in numerous types of actions. Mr. Zukowski understands that when people hire an attorney, they are often experiencing very stressful situations. Prior to starting his own law firm Mr. Zukowski was a law clerk to Justice Howard C. Ryan of the Illinois Supreme Court.
Mr. Zukowski is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Illinois – at Springfield, with a BA in Economics. He has a Juris Doctorate and Masters Degree in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Zukowski has done post-graduate work at the London School of Economics. He has also done post-graduate work in Financial Planning.
Mr. Zukowski is a Past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Education Law. Also, he was the first Chair of the Illinois Community College Attorneys Association.
Mr. Zukowski is a past Chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Trusts and Estates. He was responsible for coordinating continuing education programs for Illinois attorneys in this area. He is a frequent lecturer, and has had several articles published in this area. Mr. Zukowski is the current Vice Chair of the Elder law section of the ISBA.
Mr. Zukowski is a past Board Member of the Illinois Valley Area Chambers of Commerce, Vice Chairman of the LaSalle County Metropolitan Exposition authority, and Campaign Chairman of the United Way of the Illinois Valley. Mr. Zukowski is also a member, of the Mendoza College of Business Graduate Alumni Board, University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Zukowski is listed in “Who’s Who In American Law.” He lectures regularly, and has had several articles published. Mr. Zukowski authored, “ The Secret Weapon: Speed – How to Teach Foot Speed in Baseball and Softball”, published by Graf Sports Enhancement, Inc., copyright 2003. Also, he is a Trustee and Choir Director at Saint Valentine Church, Peru.
