Some of his notable cases over the last several years include a $3.3 Million Judgment for sexual harassment against a well-known movie producer, which included punitive damages; a $2.5 Million fraud and breach of contract judgment where my client was also awarded punitive damages in a palimony claim; a $6 Million verdict in a complex personal injury claim; a $7.8 Million verdict in an attorney fee dispute based upon a quantum meruit claim; a $2 Million judgment in a federal jury trial for unfair competition (including punitive damages, all of which was upheld in a published opinion by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals); a $2.5 Million verdict for accounting malpractice which was featured as a front page cover story by the Los Angeles Daily Journal; and a $24 Million judgment in the matter of Strategic Concepts v. Beverly Hills Unified School District
Mr. Kaufler attended the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom-1972, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. Magna Cum Laude, 1974 and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School. He is a member of the California State Bar Association.
Mr. Kaufler received the 2014, Commendation Award from the Mayor of the City of Lancaster, in the Case: Morita v. Jon Peters, he was also awarded a Commendation Award from the Mayor of the City of Lancaster in 2011, for the case of Hillel Chodos v. Navabeh P. Borman.
