Leonard A. Matsuk founder of the firm, has been practicing law for more than 40 years in criminal defense, serving clients in Greater Long Beach, California and the surrounding areas. Attorney Leonard Matsuk is very familiar with the court system, including the various police departments, the local judges, clerks and prosecutors throughout the criminal courts. As a result, he has successfully defended many hundreds of clients accused of a wide range of criminal charges — from drunk driving to murder and from first time juvenile offenders to corporate CEOs accused of white collar crimes. In that time and unlike many other attorneys, he has argued over 200 bench trials and over 100 jury trials. Many lawyers have never tried a case without a jury.

Attorney Matsuk understands the stakes and knows that many of their clients are in the fight of their lives– the firm personally handles every case and gives personal attention to their clients guiding them every step of the way. Mr. Matsuk graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a B.A. (1972) and received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law (1976). He is a member of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the Criminal Courts Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Long Beach Bar Association, Past President of the Long Beach Bar Foundation, Past President of the Long Beach Barristers and Senior Instructor of the Project Shortstop, a juvenile crime diversion program.
