Alvin C. Paulson founder of the firm, is a expert litigator, representing individual clients in all aspects of litigation. Mr. Paulson has tried major civil jury cases in Illinois and Missouri State Courts as well as in Federal Courts in Missouri and Illinois. Mr. Paulson has over 30 years’ experience in civil litigation and has defended multiple counties, cities and villages in State and Federal Courts. Clients he represented have included:City of Mascoutah, City of Fairview Heights,Village of Caseyville and St. Clair, Monroe, Randolph, Bond, Jersey and Christian Counties in Illinois.
Mr. Paulson also represents several municipal entities in the area of employment law and labor collective bargaining and labor arbitrations. Paulson graduated cum laude from St. Louis University School of Law in 1986. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is affiliated as a member with the St. Clair County Bar Association (Board of Directors 1990-1992), East St. Louis and Illinois State Bar Associations and the Federal Bar Association for the Southern District of Illinois.
Mr. Paulson has served as a member of the Local Government Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Associations and has served as the City Attorney for the City of Mascoutah for over 20 years. He also served as City Attorney for Fairview Heights and Village Attorney for the Village of Caseyville.
