The law firm’s area of practice include criminal law and civil litigation. Lisa Andrew Dubs founder of the firm, has been actively engaged in the practice of criminal law and civil litigation for over 25 years. She is  admitted to practice law in North Carolina, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina. Her primary practice is in the area of capital murder cases and serious felonies. She has tried numerous first degree murder cases all over the State of North Carolina. In addition, she has tried hundreds of other criminal cases in both District and Superior Courts. As a part of her practice she attends traffic court and represents persons charged with every sort of traffic offense from speeding to DWI.

Ms. Dubs has an extensive trial practice. In 2007 she was in trial for almost half of the year on various cases. Associating with other attorneys with valuable civil litigation experience, Ms. Dubs brings her substantial trial abilities to the representation of persons who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Some of the types of cases that Ms. Dubs will consider representing plaintiffs in are: personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, injury due to faulty products.

Ms. Dubs has earned a reputation as a prepared and zealous trial attorney, having significant  experience working with experts in many different areas. Many of these experts have been recognized as some of the top experts in their fields. Because Ms. Dubs believes that a team approach is important in the representation of a client, she frequently seeks the assistance of experts. In Addition she is a lecturer at Continuing Legal Education seminars for other attorneys in areas such as jury selection and trial preparation.

Ms. Dubs graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College, with a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, and received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of North Carolina State Bar Association, the North Carolina Associates for Justice, the National Association of Criminal Trial Attorneys and the Catawba County Bar Association. She is also a member of the NC Bar Association Criminal Justice Council. Ms. Dubs has been on the faculty at the Capital College presented by the Center for Death Penalty Litigation in Raleigh, NC.
