Mr. Ackerman is licensed to practice law in the State of California and Idaho, and have tried to a jury, cases all over the State of California from San Diego to San Francisco, in both Federal and State Courts. He has handled appeals to the First, Second, Fourth and Sixth District State Courts of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Federal Courts of Appeal.

Additionally, Mr. Ackerman was a pro tem settlement conference judge in Santa Clara County for a number of years and currently serves as an arbitrator for the Santa Clara County Fee Arbitration Panel and extensive experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution. 

Mr. Ackerman has prevailed in significant cases for clients throughout the State of California and has tried over 70 jury trials to verdict. He has successfully represented clients in the semiconductor, software programming, and the failure analysis industries.

Ackerman graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. and received his J.D. from the University of California-Hastings College of Law. He is a member of the California Bar Association, Idaho Bar Association. He has received recognition for his skill in trying cases and has received an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell for the past 25 years. He has been recognized by San Jose Magazine as one of the “Best Lawyers” of Silicon Valley.
