He has been licensed in New York and in federal court since 1971 and also holds an inactive license in Ohio. He concentrates his practice in litigation, with emphasis on serious and catastrophic injury cases. He is a lawyer’s lawyer in that most of his cases come on referral from other lawyers. He has had many substantial settlements and verdicts in the fields of medical negligence, civil rights and other matters.
Mr. Johns is a sole practitioner and gives personal attention to each matter. He is old fashioned in many ways: signs his name with a fountain pen, and wears a wind-up watch, but his office is state-of-the-art.
