Robin N. Goeman founder of the law firm is admitted to practice law in the state of New York. She devotes her practice to elder law and estate planning. If your loved one is potentially in need of a guardian to protect their health, safety, and/or property, if you are a party to a guardianship proceeding or need to oppose the appointment of a guardian generally or oppose a specific person being appointed guardian or if you need to discuss your estate planning needs. Ms. Goeman would be honored to assist you with anything from simple to complex. Ms. Goeman truly enjoy working with seniors. She love to hear the stories they have to tell, and she likes being able to help families solve some of the major life issues that accompany aging, and being able to assist a family in obtaining home care so that a senior can have a nice place and live in peace as they age.

During law school she interned at the Legal Aid Society’s Brooklyn Office for the Aging. Her first job was as an associate at Freedman Fish & Grimaldi with a heavy caseload consisting of Medicaid planning and application. Her next position was with MFY Legal Services in their Manhattan Legal Aid to Seniors Project, where she continued to work with seniors, but with a focus on housing issues as well as public benefits. Now that she has her own practice, she can mix Medicaid, guardianship, estate planning, and housing issues with a focus on seniors and the disabled.

Ms. Goman is a graduate of Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, J.D. and obtained her B.A. from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association, the Brooklyn Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association,the Geriatric Mental Health Alliance of New York and Former member of the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association.

Ms. Goman is recognized by Super Lawyers, received the Champion of Justice by TD Bank and Distinguished Service Award by the Brooklyn Bar Association. She also is involved in conference speaking engagements lending her expertise to elder law.

When not working, she likes to go down to Red Hook’s Valentino Pier with her schnoodle dog and watch him swim in the harbor.
