Mr. Gershenson was licensed to practice law in 1979 in the state of Georgia and in California in 1980, and has been admitted to various federal courts in Georgia and California. He concentrates his practice on all aspects of family law including marital dissolutions, domestic partnership dissolutions, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence restraining orders. He has extensive experience with property division, child and spousal support, and child custody and visitation.

Mr. Gershenson is a graduate of Brandeis University, B.A., 1974 and Emory University Law School, J.D., 1979. He is a member of the Desert Bar Association and has served as the chair, newsletter editor, and legal analyst of its Family Law Section. He also maintains his membership in the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Gershenson practiced for more than ten years in the Beverly Hills and Century City, where he handled sophisticated business litigation in addition to family law, prior to relocating to Palm Springs in 1993.
Mr. Gershenson and his wife—who teaches in a local public high school—raised their children in Palm Springs and are deeply rooted in the local community. He currently serves as president of Palm Springs Aviators, Inc., a non-for-profit flying club which he co-founded, and enjoys flying the club’s airplane.
