Emily has been practicing in the fields of elder care and guardianship law for over two decades. She spent the first 13 years of her career as a personal injury litigator. Many of her clients were elderly or disabled, and in 1994, she decided to focus her practice on advocating on behalf of these two types of clients.
Currently, Emily is a specialist on New York guardianship law and procedures. As her practice grew and flourished, she quickly expanded the range of elder care matters handled to include recovery of assets, discharge of guardians and guardianship accountings, the creation and establishment of supplemental and special needs trusts, as well as other guardianship issues.
